Why they might be annoying
When the team was playing poorly in the 1970's and early 80's, many fans would come to games with paper bags over their heads and the word 'AINTS' written on it.
In a December 2001 Monday night game against the St. Louis Rams, many fans threw plastic beer bottles on the field in disgust over a referee's call.
Why they might not be annoying
Many backers of the teams consider themselves the longest suffering football fans.
The fondest Superdome memories the fans have are of the many Super Bowls that have taken place in the Saints home stadium.
Saints fans are sometimes referred to as 'Who Dats.'
