AmIAnnoying.com has announced its third annual 100 Most and Least Annoying lists, which are based on over 11 million votes cast by visitors from around the world throughout 2003. Visitors were able to vote on over 10,000 different public figures and share their opinions on who they found annoying and not annoying. The addictive and interactive features on the site have garnered a staggering half-billion hits, over 11 million votes and over 2.3 million unique visitors for the year.

As with previous years, the most and least annoying people throughout 2003 reflected current events with celebrities like Kobe Bryant (Ranked: 41st on the Most Annoying list) and Saddam Hussein (Ranked: 4th Most Annoying) appearing frequently in the ranks. Every week, the top 15 rankings in each list were archived. These archives were used to determine the final rankings at the end of the year.

AmIAnnoying.com developed a unique point system that rewards longevity on the list over one time appearances. Based on rankings throughout the year, Top 15 celebrities and groups were awarded weekly anywhere from 1 to 4 points. "The points system allows a celebrity who spends 4 weeks at #11 to receive more points and rank higher than someone who spent 1 week at #1," says AmIAnnoying.com co-founder Bruce.

• Scientology is more annoying than Satanism.

 

• Terrorism and opposition to America’s recent military action annoyed many voters. Al-Qaeda, Saddam Hussein, Osama bin Laden, Jacques Chirac and the United Nations all ranked in the Top 15 Most Annoying.
